The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers will picket to inform the public of the Journal Corporation’s attack on working people and to protest the corporation’s illegal actions. The informational picketing will take place on Thursday, October 29, 2009 at the Journal-Sentinel Building at 433 West State Street in Downtown Milwaukee from 9:00 until 5:00 p.m.

The Milwaukee office of the National Labor Relations Board has found evidence that Journal Broadcasting Group’s WTMJ-TV violated federal labor law. Because of WTMJ’s ongoing illegal activity, continuing on Friday, March 6, Local 715 of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers will picket to inform the public of the Journal Corporation’s attack on working people and to protest the corporation’s illegal actions.

The Milwaukee office of the National Labor Relations Board has found evidence that Journal Broadcasting Groups WTMJ-TV violated federal labor law.


IBEW 715 Press Release - August 7, 2008
The Union filed an unfair labor practice charge against Journal Communications on August 6, requesting that the Board seek injunctive relief in Court to stop the unlawful conduct. The NLRB Regional office in Milwaukee is already investigating earlier unfair labor practice allegations against Journal Communications based on charges filed by the Union in May....
